On January 15, 2026, the Forthing Egypt Launch Gala was grandly held in the capital city of Cairo. The event welcomed over 600 distinguished guests from political and business circles, who gathered to witness the commencement of Forthing's new journey in North Africa. As a key strategic partner of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (DFLZM) in the Egyptian market, Mr. Amr Soliman, Chairman of the Board of AVM Company, expressed confidence and support for Forthing's entry: "We are honored to establish a deep collaboration with Forthing. Leveraging the complementary strengths of both parties in technology, manufacturing, and channels, AVM will fully utilize its extensive local network resources built over many years to provide comprehensive support across the entire chain, from supply chain management to end-user sales, facilitating Forthing's rapid entry into the African market."
Mr. Cheng Yuan, Deputy General Manager of DFLZM, attended the event and delivered a speech: "As a steadfast force in China's automotive industry, the Forthing brand consistently upholds the brand philosophy of 'RUNNING FOR FUTURE.' To this end, we have initiated the 'Riding the Momentum: Dual-Engine (2030) Plan,' aiming to invest a cumulative total of 20 billion RMB by 2030 to achieve an annual overseas sales target of 300,000 vehicles." This blueprint will be realized through four strategic pillars: technological advancement, localized operations, channel innovation, and service enhancement, aiming to deliver an outstanding mobility experience for global users.
Cheng Yuan emphasized that Forthing will deeply integrate into the Egyptian market with high-quality products, a comprehensive service network, and genuine partnerships: "We are not only bringing high-quality transportation to local consumers but will also shorten delivery cycles and reduce after-sales costs through localized production, enhancing the value proposition for users in purchasing and using our vehicles. Through deep technical collaboration, DFLZM and Egypt's AVM Company have jointly promoted the construction of a KD (Knock-Down) assembly plant. Recently, the first locally assembled CKD (Completely Knocked Down) T5 EVO model successfully rolled off the production line. The plant focuses on localized production, introduces advanced Chinese automotive manufacturing processes, and simultaneously nurtures local technical teams. This cooperation represents a leap from mere product trade to the comprehensive integration of technology, manufacturing, and brand value between the Chinese and Egyptian automotive industries, injecting new momentum into regional industrial upgrading.
Amid great anticipation, renowned racer and social media influencer with millions of followers, Mr. Tamer Bashir, took the stage to provide an in-depth interpretation of the product lineup's appeal. He shared: "This time, we are introducing six models to the Egyptian market at once, covering three technological pathways: internal combustion engine (ICE), pure electric (BEV), and plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV), with a particular focus on the pure electric and extended-range new energy segments. Among them, the flagship MPV, the Forthing V9, fully accommodates the travel needs of multi-member families as well as high-end business reception scenarios.
