On February 28, 2026, Qinzhou Port brimmed with the momentum of action and progress. The themed event Sailing for a New Journey, Starting with Solid Action – A New Chapter of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor (DFLZM) & Beibu Gulf Port Group (BGPG) Serving the Dual Circulation was successfully held here. At this crucial juncture, the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and on the eve of the National Two Sessions, two leading local state-owned enterprises in Guangxi – DFLZM and BGPG – officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. With the unique fanfare of ships and vehicles sounding in unison at the port, they sent out a resounding call for solid and determined endeavors. Through a series of initiatives including new product launches, ecological co-construction and intelligent operation demonstrations, they have painted a clear blueprint for a new development paradigm where the synergy of automotive intelligent manufacturing + port logistics serves the development pattern with the domestic big circulation as the main body and the domestic and international dual circulations reinforcing each other. With its distinct contemporary theme and a strong focus on tangible action, the event garnered high attention from authoritative media such as Xinhuanet, fully demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of Guangxi's state-owned enterprises.
Currently, China is accelerating the construction of a new development pattern with the domestic big circulation as the main body and the domestic and international dual circulations reinforcing each other. The in-depth synergy between the manufacturing industry and the port and shipping industry is not only a key underpinning for stabilizing the domestic industrial and supply chains, but also an important path to smoothing the internal and external circulations and driving high-quality development. As an automotive manufacturing enterprise deeply rooted in both commercial and passenger vehicle businesses, DFLZM achieved an annual terminal sales volume of 147,600 units in 2025, with overseas exports exceeding 56,000 units, steadily expanding its international market while consolidating the domestic circulation.
At present, the annual ro-ro ship handling capacity of Beibu Gulf Port has reached 372,000 units, capable of accommodating all-weather berthing of existing ro-ro ship types. Going forward, BGPG will actively join hands with partners such as DFLZM to promote cooperation on port forward warehouses, expand the ro-ro shipping route network, build a green and smart logistics system, enhance the comprehensive service capacity of the international supply chain, and strive to construct a new marine economic pattern featuring the interactive development of port + logistics + industry.
At the event site, DFLZM successively signed strategic cooperation agreements with BGPG, China Unicom Guangxi Branch and Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgy Co., Ltd., building a collaborative platform around key links in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and establishing a full industrial chain cooperation framework. Meanwhile, it completed a bulk order signing of 300 vehicles with Guangxi Taihe Group, a local passenger transport enterprise. Notably, taking this strategic cooperation agreement as a new starting point, DFLZM and BGPG will focus on deepening collaboration in green equipment synergy, logistics channel co-construction, overseas ecological co-building and technological innovation integration. They will smooth the product export channels with port hubs and empower the upgrading of port and logistics systems with intelligent equipment. This initiative is not only a concrete practice of implementing national strategies, but also a pragmatic action that aligns with the overall development of Guangxi, serves Guangxi's marine economy and the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, as well as an inevitable choice for the in-depth integrated development of industry, trade, port and shipping sectors to jointly serve the dual circulation.
Chenglong, the commercial vehicle brand of DFLZM, launched the Chenglong Yiwei 5 New Energy Tractor this time. Integrating four core values of safety, comfort, energy efficiency and lightweight design, it features a high-strength safety body, comfortable driving configurations, an ultra-low power consumption of 1.1 kWh per kilometer and an extreme lightweight design of 8.8 tons, fully meeting the needs of port, factory and resource transportation scenarios. Chenglong has built a full product matrix covering tractors, cargo trucks, tipper trucks, special-purpose vehicles and light trucks, helping truck drivers carry more, earn more and create wealth efficiently. Dongfeng Forthing offers a full-scenario product, meeting users' all-scenario and full-life-cycle vehicle needs for entrepreneurship, business reception, family travel and quality life.
For the future, DFLZM will continue to deepen its dual focus on commercial and passenger vehicles strategy, and provide more hardcore equipment support for the development of the dual circulation with more intelligent and green mobile transportation solutions. Focusing on the core demand of cargo export from Guangxi, BGPG will join hands with shipping companies and automobile enterprises to launch a number of ro-ro businesses, achieving a "zero breakthrough" in ro-ro operations. The group will also continue to promote the development of ro-ro and container businesses, constantly improve port infrastructure, optimize the efficiency of the entire operation process, build a stable, efficient and convenient logistics channel for the export of automobiles, construction machinery and spare parts by hinterland enterprises, and help more Made in China products set sail for the world via the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.
