On May 18, two consecutive 5.2-magnitude earthquakes struck Liunan District, Liuzhou City, followed by frequent aftershocks. The disaster has drawn wide public concern.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFMC) and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (DFLZM) took prompt action. Following an earlier donation of disaster-relief supplies, the two companies further donated funds and materials worth RMB 2.58 million to the earthquake-stricken area.
The donation includes RMB 1 million in cash and 11 Forthing Lingzhi New Energy emergency rescue vehicles valued at RMB 1.58 million, which are earmarked for disaster rescue, living assistance for affected residents, and post-disaster reconstruction in the quake-hit region.
With over 70 years of deep roots in Liuzhou, DFMC, together with DFLZM has always stood side by side with the people of its hometown through thick and thin. The companies have demonstrated their sense of social responsibility through concrete actions, fully supported the reconstruction of the disaster-stricken area, and contributed Dongfeng’s strength to Liuzhou, the Dragon City.
