From 0 to 1,000 Units: Forthing’s Egypt KD Project Reaches a New Milestone

On July 28, as the 1,000th T5 EVO rolled off the production line at the Egypt KD plant, Forthing marked another major milestone in the Egyptian market.

Since the project began in 2025, the North Africa team and its Egyptian partners have worked together to move from market entry and project implementation to rapid sales growth, culminating in the production of 1,000 complete vehicles. This achievement provides a solid foundation for Forthing's continued expansion in Egypt.

The successful rollout of the Egypt KD project can be largely attributed to the team's strict quality control.

In 2025, to comply with the Egyptian government's stringent requirements for CKD exports, the T5 EVO was broken down into nearly 1,500 components. To ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials (BOM), the team checked every component against the BOM list one by one, paying attention to every detail.

After multiple rounds of validation and refinement, the BOM was verified to be complete and accurate.

During the confirmation of the first vehicle assembly and packaging plans, the project team stayed on site for two consecutive months. Faced with the Egyptian partner's strict quality standards, the team ensured zero errors in parts distribution and finalized every packaging plan on site, piece by piece.

Throughout this intensive phase, the team worked seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., resolving one issue after another through professionalism and dedication. Their efforts earned strong recognition from the Egyptian partner and set the stage for reliable mass production and delivery.

In September 2025, the first batch of KD sample kits was shipped. In December, the final assembly line at the Egypt KD plant began operation, officially moving the project into the production preparation phase.

On January 10, 2026, the Egypt KD project officially entered mass production, and the first T5 EVO rolled off the line. On January 15, the T5 EVO made its public debut at a large-scale launch event in Cairo.

Supported by its youthful design, strong product performance, and an expanding marketing and service network, the T5 EVO saw rapid sales growth after launch.

In just over six months, the Egypt KD plant produced more than 1,000 vehicles, marking the initial formation of a stable system covering cooperation, production, sales, and service for Forthing in Egypt.

From individual BOM documents and components to T5 EVO vehicles coming off the line, the 1,000-unit milestone reflects more than just volume growth—it demonstrates Forthing's strengthening local operational capabilities in Egypt.

It embodies the commitment and hard work of the project team and stands as evidence of the growing trust and deepening cooperation between Forthing and its Egyptian partners.

Looking ahead, the team will continue to strengthen its presence in Egypt, accelerate the introduction of the TK series, and expand the local dealer network.

Using the 1,000th T5 EVO as a new starting point, Forthing will keep enhancing its brand presence, channel coverage, and competitiveness, delivering more diverse and higher-quality products and services to Egyptian consumers and driving its North Africa business to new heights.
